Former Lawton High School and Cameron University standout Craig Foster is set to take over the Eisenhower High School Eagles boys basketball team as their head coach for the 2025-26 season.
Foster is entering his eighth year of coaching, spending the first four years at MacArthur High School as an assistant. There he helped the Highlanders to a State Tournament run and coached two of the top-5 scorers in program history. Foster has spent the past few seasons as an assistant coach for Lawton High School and was a vital part of their rebuild going from two wins to their recent success that ended with a State Runner-Up finish for the 2024-25 season.
Foster prides himself on helping the players first. He has seen kids go to college every year, with 2-3 kids signing each season. He also has his own AAU program, started the youth training program “TheLabdontlie580”, among other things that continue to grow the basketball culture in the Lawton Fort Sill community.
During his prep playing career, Foster was an All-State and All-Star player for the Wolverines helping them win a regional and area championship. He then went on to play four seasons for the Aggies at Cameron University.
Foster started every game for CU as a junior and senior. As a junior, he averaged 15.8 points and 5.7 assists per game on his way to being named a First Team All-American, the Lone Star Conference Player of the Year, All-District, and All-Region. Foster carried that success into his senior year, being selected as the Preseason National Player of the Year and Preseason LSC Player of the Year before averaging 14.8 points and 4.7 assists during his final season on campus.
Professionally, Foster played in Canada in the NBL with the Saint John Riptide, in the ABA and CBL semi-pro league in Florida, and then even got to make a training camp with the Oklahoma City Blue, who went on to win a G-League Championship that season.
